CLIENT SOLUTIONS: HOW ONE THING LEADS TO ANOTHER
A brick-and-mortar retail darling with a significant digital presence asked us to help with hiring, onboarding, and building a reliable team and company culture. In response, we developed job descriptions, placed ads on multiple boards, and qualified an extensive list of applicants before hiring. We also conducted behavioral assessments using the Predictive Index tool and mapped out an onboarding process to help set expectations while making new employees feel at home.
As our rapport with our client grew, the next logical step was to create an Employee Handbook, a living document that is continually being updated. We started by building a framework of critical elements that included Employer Expectations, Employee Expectations, Benefits, PTO, Holidays, and What to Wear to Work.
Employee Handbooks are valuable resources for building positive company culture. They allow individual departments to document protocols and procedures and serve as recorded reminders of a business’s core values, goals, rules, security, cybersecurity, behavior expectations, and more.
After working with our client for several months, we received an early morning phone call from the founder one day. One of her employees had just given a two-week notice, but rather than “freak out,” she knew calling us would lead to swift action and solid results.
